Terms of use

Effective 29 September 2026

These terms cover the Imprest iPhone app, Imprest on the web and the optional agent service. Imprest is operated by SUPER SIMPLE LEARNING LTD (“we”). By using Imprest you agree to these terms; if you don’t agree, don’t use it. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your data.

What Imprest is

Imprest is software for holding and sending your own digital dollars (USD Coin on the Base network) and for letting AI agents ask you to approve payments. Imprest isn’t a bank. Your balance isn’t a bank deposit and isn’t covered by a deposit guarantee scheme. We never hold your money: your accounts are controlled by keys created and kept on your iPhone.

Imprest is in beta

Features may change, pause or stop, and may not always work as expected. Some features aren’t available in every country. Use amounts you’re comfortable with while Imprest is in beta.

Your iPhone and recovery phrase

You’re responsible for your iPhone, its passcode and your recovery phrase. Anyone with your recovery phrase can move your money. We can’t see or recover your phrase, restore access or approve a payment for you, and we will never ask for your phrase.

Payments are final

Every payment needs Face ID or your passcode. Once a payment is confirmed on Base it can’t be reversed or cancelled, by you or by us. Check who you’re paying, the amount and any fee before you approve. Any Imprest fee is shown before you approve.

Agents

Agents you connect can see what you allow and ask you to approve payments within the limits you set. Each payment still needs your approval on your iPhone. You’re responsible for the agents you connect, the access you give them and anyone you share an agent’s access key with.

@handles and pay links

Your @handle and pay link let people pay you by name. Anyone who opens your pay link in Imprest receives your account’s Base address and can see its balance and payment history on the public record. Don’t choose a handle that impersonates someone or is misleading; we may reclaim handles that do.

Services from other companies

Adding money by card, Apple Pay or bank transfer, and cashing out to a bank, are provided by other companies, such as MoonPay and Transak, under their own terms. They check your identity, set their fees and decide whether to accept a transaction. Exchanges, Base, Uniswap and Circle, which issues USD Coin, are also independent of us. We don’t control these services and aren’t responsible for them.

Using Imprest lawfully

Don’t use Imprest to break the law, including sanctions and anti-money-laundering laws, to defraud anyone, or to interfere with the service. We may limit or suspend our services, such as @handles, pay links, the agent service or covering fees, if we reasonably suspect misuse. We can’t freeze or move the money in your accounts.

No advice

Nothing in Imprest is financial, investment, tax or legal advice. USD Coin is issued by Circle, not by us, and its value can differ from one US dollar.

Liability

Imprest is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for losses caused by a lost iPhone or recovery phrase, payments you approve, other companies’ services, the Base network or events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law.

Changes and ending

We may update these terms; changes will appear here with a new effective date. You can stop using Imprest at any time. Your accounts stay yours, and your recovery phrase restores them in Imprest or another compatible wallet.
